Experimenting

Hi Friends,

Sometimes you need to experiment with your camera to find out just what it can do. I experimented this afternoon, taking photos of the geraniums planted in flower pots around our deck railing. Here is a sample of the results. The white background on the first photo is the white siding on the house. The green background in the second photo is grass. I wish I could remember how I got that black background in the third photo.

Mid-Summer Rain

July and August can be pretty dry months, but not this year. Seems like we've had a lot of rain this summer here in this neck of the woods.

Here are some photos of morning over the Atlantic. They were taken in the late summer a couple of years ago from a hotel room high above the marina at Atlantic City. Makes me lonesome for the ocean.
